need a neutral to 4 under pelmet lights approx 60watts each which has its 1.5mm brown & earth s/w seperatly straight from the switch.. i have some part coil 1mm double insulated blue neutral (no earth) cable which i could use without buying a 100 metre coil of 1.5mm blue/earth ? ant reason why i shouldnt use this as 1.0mm carries in exess of 11amps from which the intended load is nowhere near this..although there is no earth in the cable ? but the lights still have an earth from the 1.5mm brown/earth cable... also same scenario for a 500 watt rear floodlight and again for a front porch pir light cheers again :)

Is 6241YH available then ?
Bit of a pig's ear to use a smaller Neutral than Line, even if the cable is suitably protected by the OPD

yeah fair point i will just buy a new coil of 1.5mm blue/earth this week :) anyone reccomend any reasonable price online stockist :)

There's no harm in using a mixture of 1.5 and 1mm cables, provided that the circuit protection is coordinated to protect the lesser sized cable.

Stick with your original plan, George. Untidy and unconventional that it is, it certainly isn't unsafe.
