Hi,

I've got a Vaillant Ecotec 837 connected to a Digistat +2RF with the receiver wired into the boiler.

Intermittently the boiler won't respond to a call for heat from the RF receiver so the CH doesn't kick in. (it happens randomly, but it averages around 1 in 10).

The green "on" light is lit on the receiver itself when the wireless transmitter brings the heating on so its not an issue between the two RF units.

I just knock the heating off and back on again using the RF control and then its usually fine.

Cheers,
Craig

Sticking relay on the Drayton receiver.

Light still comes on, not fed via mains relay. Total crap, Lucas would be proud.

If you want to be sure, wire a switch across 3 and 4 in the Vaillant and turn it on/off 20 times. I bet it works every time.

Thanks for the info, I did suspect the Drayton receiver.

I've thought about binning the Drayton setup and replacing it with Vaillant's VRC 430f Wireless Weather Compensator.

The receiver for the VRC can be mounted in the blank facia panel. I'm assuming with that plugged in I'd need to leave 3 / 4 bridged as its not an external control.

Cheers,
Craig

Yep.

The VRC is probably the most obtuse, willfully difficult control to use.

And the manual has been written by someone who assumes you created the software with him.

The 360F must be the runner up then!

Didn't know the 360F was superceded.....is the 392F any better/easier to manage? I might change mine if it is.
