Hi folks,

I have recently replaced the plastic HW heat exchanger with a Zilmet Stainless type. Everything seems to operate well, except that the system pressure gauge rises above 2bar after about a day. Draining the system from the pressure release valve reduces it, but it slowly builds up again after that. There is no flow into the CH system from the flow service cock and I can only assume that there is a leak in the heat exchanger allowing the HW supply into the CH system. Is there anything else I should look at before I return the unit?

Thanks,

Graham

hi Graham
if i were you i would check the expansion vessle
check with valliant what pressure should be.
note you check the pressure when system is drained and you should not
drain system via the pressure release valve as it may give you another
problem if any matter ect get under the seal
