Hi, we have a new pine staircase and would like some advice as to what to use to finish wood with. I would like to keep the natural pine colour as light as possible ( not making it yellow in appearance) so which product would be best to use?

Whatever you apply it will very slightly darken the surface, even a clear varnish. If you are looking for a natural finish I would suggest boiled linseed oil, this is often used in conjuction with mineral spirit giving better penetration, but just useing the oil alone will be ok.

Working with the grain apply useing a lint free cloth, after application and again useing a lint free cloth buff up the product untill touch dry.
