I have an 02 Vivaro with some kind of fault on the pos battery terminal - it is dead in the morning - have changed battery. have cleaned bat terminals. Waggling the wire to the pos bat terminal sometimes cures fault. Is there some kind of fuse or cutout actually in the pos battery terminal?

It sounds like something is draining the battery, maybe the glove box light, boot light or even the radio. There is no fuse or cut out on the terminals, make sure they are clean and tightened on properly as this can cause poor running. Check the voltage with a meter across the terminals, it should be just over 12 when engine stopped and 14.4 when running. If its less than this when stopped something is draining it for sure and if its less than 14.4 when running, the alternater is not charging it back up, meaning a new/reconditioned alternater is required.

Long shot. if your battery could of been damaged in the past, knocked post, then could there be a possible break inside the battery? (wiggle)
