Just moved into a new home and it has a veritas R8 alarm installed. The previous owner said they never used it as they didn't have the code. I really want to get the alarm working but I have no idea where to start.
I've downloaded the instruction manual off the veritas website but it doesn't tell me how to reset it with no code.
I believe there is an engineers code which I tried but it set the alarm off and the only way to stop the alarm was to disconnect the batter and disconnect the alarm from the mains. I've not connected it back up as I don't want it going off whilst we are out at work. It has been off for over a week now.
Can the alarm be reset or is it scrap.
