Vokera excell 80SP

Hi all,
I need to change the expansion vessel on a Vokera excell 80 Sp, can anyone tell me if I need to take the boiler off the wall or not to change it?
Any help would be gratefully received..

Yes its an off the wall jobby.

Why not fit a remote one? Its a bit easier.

No it is not. Vessel can be changed without taking boiler off the wall (provided the stipulated clearances are in place). Been there, done it, and have the T shirt.

Are you sure the vessel is knacked?

Yes the exp vessel is shot, I had a go today but there wasn't enough clearance above the boiler.
Sent the job back.
