I have a linea max and have noticed that if the boiler is switched off at the mode dial (its still switched on at the electrical socket) and it starts with around 1.2 bars of pressure it seems to gradually lose pressure. Yesterday it was on 1.2 bars. I switched it off (as I didn't want to use it as I'm currently awaiting a new motorised valve unit) and today its dropped to 0.5 bars pressure. I have checked the outlet pipe and it looks like its been dripping.
Is this normal? I pressed the valve on the expansion cylinder and air comes out so I think that's OK. I haven't checked the pressure in it though (don't have an air pressure gauge). Doesn't seem to be any leaks in the boiler or from any rads either, and all was working OK before the motorised valve went (due to a diverter valve leak which I have now fixed).
Any ideas?
