How is it best to finish the corner of the wallpapered wall when joining a painted wall on an internal corner? Should I just cut the pair to fit the corner exactly OR should I form a straight edge with the wall paper and leave painted gaps on the papered wall edge please?

I would run the paper around the corner, by about an inch and then trim away the excess, using either scissors or a wide filling knife and snap off blades.
