Washing Machine draw - Filling up with water

When putting on a wash with some fabric conditioner, it seems to take the fabric cond into the wash okay but when the wash is finished the fabric cond section of the drawer is filled with water. Does anyone have any ideas why? I've read the topic below about this and cleaned the tube out but its still happening. Does anyone has any ideas or tips the machine is only a year old. Thanks Guys!

What make and model machine is this. Is it definitely water and not conditioner that is left in the tray ? Describe the tray i.e. how many compartments and from left to right what is their use ?

There needs to be some form of lid over the syphon tube bit, if this lid is missing or choked internally the syphon won't work.
