Hi

I have recently had a plumber in to fit a new bathroom suite and install an outside tap. Since he's been, the hot water pressure seems to have dropped by some degree.

The cold supply is fine.

The plumber said that the new tap I had in the bathroom has a disc in it or something, which is why the pressure is lower than before with the old taps, but the kitchen hot water also seems to have lost power.

Is ther anyhting I can check before I have to call him back?

Thanks

Expect the filters are blocked as a result of turning the water off

Where would I find these filters, and are they easily cleared?

Thanks for the reply.

Could be anywhere unless you tell more about the installation.

Places to look.

Cold feed to a combi boiler.
Aerator on the tap spout.

Isolating valve or 10mm tails.

The problem is your plumber may charge you again unless it's his work at fault. Sometimes valves don't always operate correctly when you go to switch them back on, but this is not your plumbers fault.

Most likely the taps are for high pressure hot water instead of CWS fed hot water cylinder.

You do not say what the hot water source is.
