Hi,

I need some help. I have a conventional system with the cw and f&e tanks in the loft and a hw cylinder and boiler in one of the bedrooms. the system and radiators haven't been changed. the problem is that 4 of the radiators one down stairs and 3 up are making weird slow trickling noise even when the heating is not on (which it hasn't for months due to the summer). I have bled all the rads and silencer has been applied but still making this noise which is terrible to try and sleep during. could it be the pump? water pressure? any ideas? thanks

Seems that it will need a heating expert!

Might be a leak.

Is either loft tank running?

If you turn off the main stopcock, does water level drop in either loft tank?

Look under the floorboards for signs of damp.
