Hi
I have an indesit wd12 washer dryer that has stopped drying clothes. I've read about testing the heater element & thermostat.

I've checked both with continuity tester with machine off & unplugged and there is no continuity, which I believe to be good. I've also checked the resistance of the heater element with multimeter and it's giving no readings on any settings - does this mean my heating element is broken or is there something else I should be exploring?

Thanks

Heating element has had it needs changing

thanks for the speedy reply.

Is that a DIY job or an engineer? I can see I can buy them on-line but I've heard opening the part & removing & refitting them without leaks etc. can be tricky.

No it's vèry easy to do just undo the 6 torx bolts in the heater box at the top and undo the 2 brass nuts and it's out. Did u check the yellow thermo fuse next to it with a continuity tester that should buzz out if not thats open circuit as well.

I did check the fuse wire with continuity tester and there was continuity - does that mean it's blown or it's ok?

Thanks

That means its ok. Just change the heater then it will work.
