Trying to hook up my Honeywell CM927 to my Vaillant Ecomax boiler.
I hardly know how to wire a plug so bare with me!

So from the receiver, left to right ive got

N (Blue) going to N on the boiler
L (Brown) going to L on the boiler
L (Yellow & green) to earth on the boiler

A (Black) going to 3
B (Grey) going to 4

N, L and earth on the boiler is the mains already. Is it ok to shove another set of wires in the same holes as i have to here?

At present my power trips as soon as i plug in the boiler!

The reciever does not need an earth, get rid of the wire between L and earth and your stat will work ok.

L (Yellow & green) to earth on the boiler.
If you had read my Original Instructions carefully, you would see that it says that the earth wire is NOT used.

Nowhere did I say that you should connect the second L terminal to the boiler earth!

Yes. Otherwise I wouldn't have told you to do this.

PS Let's hope you haven't damaged the receiver.
