What is this weed?

Hi all

can anyone identify this weed, please? They are about 18" tall, and have a shepherds crook type head.
They've grown to this height in around 5 weeks.

I sprayed them with Roundup over a week ago but it doesn't seem to be having much impact.

They are ferns and need to be dug out if you want rid of them.

they like damp, so if there are any pipes or gutters nearby, check for leaks.

spraying ferns or bracken will not be effective till the fronds are fully unfurled.
