I'm filling a few patchs where skim coat has come off leaving the scartch coat, most of the areas are a square foot or smaller, Would using bonding/ browning/ one coat plaster work on a thickness of 3-5mm, would it hold? Scratch coat is sound. Smoothness of Finish not important it will be boarded over with splashback sheeting.

Thanks.

Sorry mods if this seems like a duplicate post but its urgent.

I would just PVA the damaged area & use Multifinish if the scratch coat is still intact & sound. If your over boarding, it won’t make much difference anyway.

I've actually been using a One Coat product from Wickes lately & its easy to mix & ends up quite creamy so inexperienced spreaders can take their time, you can actually put in on holes up to 20mm thick in 1 coat & it will polish up like Multi. Try that.
