Hi all,

Sorry to bring up loft boarding for the millionth time.

I am cross battening to allow me to board easily over cables etc. In my old loft I cross battened with 4x2's but is this a bit OTT? What size cross battens would be needed. Joists are spaced fairly close so no problem and won't be anything major heavy up there.

Thanks

needs to be at least 50x50

I used 75x37 because my local woodyard had lots of it at an attractive price.

the higher it stands the stiffer it is when all screwed together and the more room you have for extra insulation.
