What to use for grohe chrome waste to waste pipe

we have a grohe basin which comes with a chrome S. the plumber can't work out how to get this chrome S into the 32mm waste. He showed he a push fit and a solvent weld waste and put the chrome pipe in to demonstrate they are too loose.


What should he use? See picture of sink. I presume there is some sort of boss adapter?

Inch and a quarter compression fitting, how long has your plumber been a plumber ?

Ok we have a 32mm chase in wall.

So from the that we put a compression elbow? Do I also chase compression elbow into wall? If I do this I won't be able to twist compression or compression but will be sticking outside? If that makes sense

Ok that looks great.

So the white by goes into a 32mm solvent weld elbow- and the other bit will compress against the chrome pipe provided with basin?
