Hello,

I'm getting a new condensing combi boiler installed and ideally want to put it in the rear of my garage/utility area, only problem being where the boiler would have to be positioned if in the garage would require a condensate pump. This could not be avoided due to door ways blocking the route.

I could put the boiler inside but would be in a newly extended kitchen where I wouldn't really want it, or in the airing cupboard upstairs, I also don't really want this due to noise and space being taken away.

Therefore I am after some input on people opinions of the pumps, ie reliability, what could I expect the lifespan if serving a 4 bed house with 2 bathrooms. I have seen some posts recommending certain manufacturers but nothing specific on reliability etc.

Cheers,

Gippa

Most use a shaded pole induction motor.

These are pretty reliable and should give a long life!

Anything can and does go wrong though!
