Which projector system?

Hi,
I have a friend who is looking at installing a projector and screen. It will be used mainly for tv as well as movies. How do they compare to a standard TV with regard to picture quality?
Also can anyone recommend any screens or projectors? We are looking for mid to top end equipment. Also the screen is to mounted flush within the ceiling so any recommendations would be great. Thanks

mid to top end equipment in projectors means anything up to £250,000 (yes, seriously, there are Sim2 and Runco home cinema projector to name two brands at that sort of price range). You need to put a £'s figure against what you're friend is happy to spend.

In-ceiling flush mount sreens are available too. Put some numbers for budgets down.
