I need 50mm rockwool external insulation and was originally gonna get this one:
Duel Density
but I rang rockwool and they told me I need Rainscreen Duo slabs which are out of stock pretty much everywhere (or minimum order 12 packs).
All I'm doing is screwing it onto a wooden outbuilding over Tyvek, then vertical battens and composite cladding.
Everyone I ring keeps saying the Dual Density is "untested" for this and is made for direct applied renders only.
I don't see what's the difference between them and why they can't be used interchangeably.
Anyone know about this?
Thanks
