When the boiler starts up from cold in the morning a whining sound resonates through the CH system with the gas valve fully open / fan operating at full speed.
If I turn the heating control on the boiler down so that the gas valve closes and the fan slows/shuts down the whining noise disappears. Any suggestions as the whining noise wakes me every morning though the problem did not seem present when the boiler was fitted some 3 months ago.
Strangely, the colder the weather, the louder and longer the whining noise lasts I suppose because the gas valve / fan are operating at maximum for longer.
