I live in the next village to where this chap lived. And was in Whitehaven 45 minutes after the shooting. Did not know about the incident until we eventually got through all the roadblocks and diversions and got parked up.

I live about 15 miles south of Boot, we were told on the news to stay indoors, some shops/cafes were told to shut.
Saw a few helicopters flying over searching.
