Hi,

I'm eager to get rid of this toilet and sink and noticed that a certain popular retailer has a good deal on a toilet and and sink at the moment but do you think it would be relatively easy for a plumber to replace the sink and toilet with a close coupled toilet and pedestal sink? The following two off B&Q.

Pretty straight forward to me ,, 3 x 15mm flexi hoses and a new pan connector a bit of adjusting to the basin waste and job done ,, just check that you can fit a new pan waste to the existing soil, presuming your waste goes through the wall , you will also have to extend the cold flow for the bog as the new toilet will be bottom fill

Many thanks for your help

Basin is easy enough although if you want the hot and cold feeds hidden behind the pedestal, they'll need to be moved.

Replacing the bog can be more of a problem depending on where the soil connection exits. If it goes down through the floor there may be an issue with a close coupled not sitting back against the wall. If this is the case, a wooden baton can be used.

Would the side wall take much of the weight or behind? Only that's plywood or some sort behind the toilet, with all the plumbing behind it.

No weight on the wall - the cistern will sit on the pan(y)
