Im a total novice to DIY and I’m in the process of decorating/doing up/renovating a house I’ve inherited. Not been decorated in a number of years and the 3 layers of Anaglypta wallpaper where round the windows. But since new windows where installed a few years ago the window trims round the reveals have been secured over the wallpaper so Removing wallpaper has removed the trims or loosened them at some areas around the window.
They are in good condition so I’m going to remove them and clean them up removed the old adhesive from the trims and from round the window but how do I secure them back? Is simple adhesive suitable and then silicone round where they meet the wall or do I need a specialist product?

Silicone or an MS polymer such as CT1 should be fine.

A hot melt glue gun can be used to lock the trims to the wall until the silicone or CT1 cures.

CT1 has the advantage of being paintable , assuming that you do not want a hairline gap where the trim meets the newly painted wall.
