Hi there,
I'm wiring some ip65 downlights into my porch soffit. I have an existing cable that was there for the light on the wall and was just wandering if any of you fine experienced gents could post a wiring diagram on here for me so i know i'll be doing it right. I have a twin and earth to start with which is on a 5A fused spur so it's just a case of checking i have the right circuit. Thanks in advance guys.

So is it your idea that you should be given instructions to insert-this-wire-in-that-hole so that you can do electrical work without actually understanding it?

Well said!!!! - but ...

You often write that, but I don't really understand. A new post will get to the top of the list, regardless of when the thread started. If what you said were true, I for one (who didn't even join the forum until 2011, so can't have contributed in 2008!), would not have seen today's posts in this thread.

Kind Regards, John
