Hello all,

MY first post on here!

Im looking to add a bathroom extractor fan - I have purchased the MANROSE VXF100T with overrun timer. I want to add this to the lgithing circuit so that the fan comes on automatically with the light.

Can anyone talk me through this?

Thanks
Rob

What are you having trouble with ?

You need a live, neutral, switched live and earth so 3 core TE is required.

You need to buy a 3 pole fan isolator and then feed between the existing permanent live, neutral, switched live and earth from source to the 3 pole isolator.

From there you run the 3 core to the fan.

The fan works in two forms, first a simple on controlled by the activation of the light switch. Then when the light switch is turned off the fan will still have a live feed (via the permanent live) to continue to work for a timed period.

The 3 pole unit is required to isolate the fan for cleaning and service without turning the lights off at the same time.
