Hi

I have recently bought a house and the kitchen internal wall which is next to the wall outside wobbles when i open and close the wall. Have been quoted to redo wall. It was built back in the 1970's and the wall does not have any wall ties it seems. But was wondering if there is a cheaper fix than taking the wall down?

It's all down to budget so every penny counts at the moment

cheers

Nothing. It has the window on the outside wall and then this wall acts as the sill.

if it's plasterboard you could cut into it, attach fixings and fill the holes

If the door is attached to it one side then Helifix may not be enough may also need to fit a windpost. .. Try the helical bars (helifix or whatever) and see how it fares.

yes that seems to be the best way so far. so will give it a go. Seems quite straighforward plus even if the inner wall has been plastered i just to do it from the outside
