worcester 280 rsf NG

my 280 is playing up. no heat no hot water. all i get is pilot lights up but continues to generate a spark forever!! burner will not light.
Gettin a bit smelly now with no shower!! any one help please?

If it wont light its probably because there's no gas coming through and the thing that lets the gas through is the gas valve.
Is there gas getting to the valve?
Is the valve getting power 'telling it' to let some gas out?
If not look towards the ignition circuitry

ive sorted it thanks slug. it turned out to be the flame sensor/spark electrode. it threw me at first coz it sparks continually and even lights the pilot! its just didnt sense that the pilot was lit and got no further. thanks again though.
PS i am CORGI regd in case you were thinking i was tinkering illegally
