Worcester Digistat DT10RF issues

I have just replaced a faulty RF thermostat and successfully linked it to a existing Digistat DT10RF receiver. I can operate the heating by adjusting the thermostat setting but the other morning the heating had come on with the Digistat set to "off" because the thermostat was demanding heat. Is it time for a new Digistat as well?
