Hello

We have just had to replace our Baxi Combi 100 HE Plus (less than 3 years old) with a Worcester Greenstar 30 Si combi. We have a Danfoss TP4 programmable room thermostat in our hall. Since the new boiler was fitted the thermostat seems to be giving us trouble, e.g. Temp set at 20 - boiler continuously burning, temp set at 19 boiler starts burning then cuts out, then rads get hot again but no flame showing boiler working.

Is this thermostat compatable with the boiler? Do we need a new thermostat?Which one? Do we need a larger rad in hall?

Any ideas would be great!! :)

Roomstat is compatible. It could be failing, but more likely to be something the installer did wrong; get him back to sort it out.

Thanks for your reply bengasman. Any ideas what the installer could have done wrong?
It seems odd to us that the thermostat goes on the blink within days of having a new boiler!

The stat is simply a switch, either on or off and if the boiler reacts at all in any way, it is likely that the boiler does not function properly somehow. First thing I would check is if the stat is connected correctly, and works correctly.

If you had a boiler that only lasted 3 years and now the new one is playing up you may just have a system problem or the previous boiler was installed wrongly and the replacement has been done the same.
