Hi guys, I have a 6400 Yale system, could someone tell me what would activate a pir, apart from the obvious could a spider or fly cause an alarm.

Spider or fly crawling accross the lens could activate the alarm hypothetically but less likely than a moth. If you have had a false alarm look for either curtains moving - post through the letterbox or a source of heat causing air currents. radiator - back of fridge

I've never had a false alarm, but set it while away for a few days and it activated twice at about 10pm and 11pm luckily I have outside cameras and checked that everything was secure, also the advantage of controlling alarm via phone, when I came home a few days later checked log and it was lounge PIR, nothing in front had moved and no heat source so just wondered If it was that sensitive for an insect to activate, Im no David Bellamy but I've noticed a few massive spiders around lately maybe it's spider season or something.
