Zafira 2002

My daughters zafira tdi engine has just given up the garage says the ends have gone I have since heard this is a common fault with 2001 2002 zafira engines.

Would it be any good getting another and putting in and if so where is the best place to get one from and how much approx would it cost.
Am in West Sussex
