We've just bought a new zanussi cooker zcv563dw, but the minute minder timer volume is so quiet that it can't be heard over the sound of the oven fan, and certainly not in the next room. Does anyone know if this is a fault, or if they are all like this?
http://www.serviceforce.co.uk/index.asp you should be able to find out for definate here , but it sounds faulty to me as it is not fit for purpose if you cannot hear it.
It wont tell you on the site about it beening faulty , it's only a piece of thin metal with a wire on it and thats what makes the buzzer. As its new call service force and ask them to check it out. I have replaced a few of these on other models but been a few years old. It could be a faulty timer not uncommon.
OK. After many phone calls and a service visit, we got a new cooker.
The minute minder volume is slightly louder, but if you buy one of these cookers, don't expect to hear the 'beep' in another room. Or even in the kitchen if the radio is on and an extractor fan going.
It seems a shame that an otherwise good cooker lacks this simple detail
Thanks for everyone's suggestions and help.
