zanussi FJR 1454 W - Lights are on but nobody home

Turned machine on the other day, get 3 straight bars on display, no lights or beeps on selection panel until you press "fabric". At this stage can select as normal. Flashing light above start/pause button but when you press it you get a beep and nothing else. Also orange light on door illuminated and I don't remember that happening before.

Called out local engineer who thinks it could be the control card but not 100%. As this comes in at £120 (unconfigured) don't want to get one unless we're sure.

Also, can you get the cards already configured or am I going to have to spend even more getting a Zanussi engineer out?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Sorted!

And just in case anyone else has a similar problem........

Must have been a sticky connection on the door latch. Had a little fiddle prior to spending even more money - just rotated the drum by hand a couple of times and gave the door a good firm close (not quite a slam!). and averything back to normal.

So much for £42.00 to be told it was the control card!
