I'm not sure if this is the right section, but here goes. I want to disable my alarm in my renault master, as a poor door connection causes nuisance alarms.

((I can't lock the van without setting the alarm.)(I think)

Is there a straightforward method of doing this?

Thanks.

It is wrong to give a disabling action.
As you would agree if it allowed others to bypass and steal your property.

Find the contact not operating correctly that is causing the fault.
And replace it.

Any other action may well invalidate your insurance.

Are you sure it is a door contact ?. In Renault cars the same contact ( apparantly ) controls the internal lights so they would also be affected.

My Megane gives occasional false alarms which are due to a internal sensor which operates on ( I am told ) air pressure changes. This one can be dis abled to avoid false alarms in windy weather. Renault dealers will be able to tell you how to dis-able before locking the car.

Yes, I understand where you are coming from, but franlky, unless you are in hearing distance of your own car or van, they are a waste of time.

Thanks, anyway, for taking the time to respond.
