Is it possible for a dormer roof to be built on the rear of our bungalow but only consisting of the watertight shell with windows only?

We have a dormer on the front but would like to start converting the rear but to do it over a period of time as and when funds allow

Thanks

@ houston...

Did you get any further with your 'shell-only' plan?

Am thinking of doing the same, would be useful to hear about your experiences going down this route.

Cheers,

Still ongoing at the moment

Had someone take a look and said it can be done. Stairs need resiting but other than that all ok.

Just the costs!

Pretty much what I'm doing, my bungalow loft conversion has a dormer at the back which you get to from stairs that go straight and from front to back. I'm removing these stairs and installing new ones but this also requires a dormer adding to the hip roof to create headroom.
