Hi

I am putting up interior walls to create a kitchen, bathroom and utility room. I will be using metal studs of 50mm to create the frame. I then want to clad with a sheet material under plasterboad so that I have the flexibility to hang things on the wall wherever I want afterwards without having to plan it all out now (e.g. securing base cabinets and worktops, a rail to hang saucepans, shelves, coat hooks etc) As I understand it plyboard is the best option for this but I am in France and it is really expensive. What about OSB or chipboard? What are the pros and cons of using those instead. IF using ply, osb or chipboard what is the minimum thickness recommended?
Any thoughts gratefully received!
