Hello all

I need to trim the edge off a sheet of plasterboard which has cement caked onto the back of it, so that it forms a right angle with an adjoining wall - hopefully the pictures show what I mean.

I've been thinking that an angle grinder might be the best tool to do this, but I'm not sure. I'd be grateful for any advice from people with more experience of DIY than me!

Many thanks

Gareth

The usual way to cut plasterboard is to score it with a blade down one side and then turn it over and snap it along the line.

The problem is that the plasterboard is already attached to the wall ... I don't know if you can see from the images, it's the pink sheet underneath the steel beam in the middle picture.

Sorry, I'm being an idiot :( There is some plasterboard, but the bit I need to cut isn't plasterboard at all, it's some sort of soft render I think. That's what the pink colour is. Apologies for the confusion

Thanks, brick bolster and hammer worked a treat! :D
