Hi, new to the forum but have looked with interest many times some of the threads, invaluable source of information.
I have just bought a cooker hood, brand new in the box made by Kuppersbusch, it has a moulded on European 2 prong plug.
The hood is replacing my old one which was hooked up to a standard junction box on the wall behind the chimney element of the previous hood.
My question is - should I fit a wall socket to the mains cable which currently has the junction box on the end of it, and then just use a European to UK plug adaptor, and plug the extractor in that way?
Or remove the european plug, and wire it directly into the junction box...taking care to ensure live feeds live and neutral feeds neutral.
Thanks, Rob.
