A few months ago we had a leak under the living room floor. The plumber lifted 1 board, fixed leak and said keep it off until dried out. So it's now ok to put back on,but it will not go back in. It is about 5mm too big and no matter how much I try to jam prod and hammer it won't fit. Obv it does fit, but i cannot get it back in. I've tried to lift the one next to it to try and see if it help but same prob, seems too big.

Any techniques or methods to get it back??

Thanks in advance[/youtube]

Thanks for the reply.

Isn't that fudging it though? Or is that the way a professional would do it also?.

When the boards were originally fixed, they would have been 'cramped' to tighten them up, making it hard to get a removed board back.
If you have an adjacent board up as well, it is sometimes possible to force the 2 back down together by leaning them against each other and forcing them down by jumping on a strategically placed piece of timber - see sketch
(make sure the tongues and grooves are properly lined up, though).
