I have a sleeper retaining wall that seperates a low level pea shingle area and the grass area when you step out into the garden.
Theres a 1 ft gap between the sleepers and the grass the other side.
Is it ok to backfill that gap with soil? im looking at creating a terrace in the lawn as its so uneven so my thoughts were to fill with soil before returfing the whole thing.
The sleepers are secured using rebars and it only moves every so slightly, does anyone have any further ideas on how to secure these sleepers further, particularly if im backfilling with soil behind them.
I will be removing the pea shingle and laying a small patio too so not sure if that changes anything in regards of securing the sleepers.
