I once got -92% at Uni on a multi-guess exam with negative marking. Was going for -100% but stupidly got a few questions right.

Weirdest thing was I got called in for remedial tuition. Ironically it was a statistics exam, and when I pointed out to the lecturer that the probability of me getting -92% without knowing what I was doing was rather small.

So they let me off with a retake.

What I learned from that course was when you see a paper read the abstract, read the conclusion, look for the value of 'p' and if < 0.05 then it works. If it's > .05 then it doesn't.

Oh those glorious student days....
