Hi, could. You please give me some help?
I have a clinch wall to render and skim internal, ( hacked off to 1 m due to flood)
I need to come in the same line as the top half but it is 100mm thick in places! Do I need to rough level out before eml or other way round?
Existing is eml then rendered. Bit stuck really,
Thanks wise ones

Is it me or is there anyone else who doesn't know what a "clinch/clunch" wall is?

I thought he meant clinker.

But i'm struggling to understand the question. :unsure:

this is what i am doing and please correct me if i am wrong;

EML , fixed wherever i can,

One scratch coat over the EML,

Possibly a second scratch depending on depth to be made up,

top render coat to be floated ready for skim,

skim away!

all render with waterproofer.

i just worry about some of the recesses behind the EML but i guess the first coat on EML will act like a stiff reinforced curtain.

thank you for your replies,

Sounds about right to me, though i would block out some of the deeper holes before fixing the eml.

hi, i did try but the whole wall is falling apart, i would have been weeks! and would have had to PVA everything as it sucked like mad!

thank you for your ideas, much appreciated.
