Alpha 240e compatible wireless thermostat

Hello All,
I am quite new to this and dont really have that much knowledge of boilers etc.
I have been searching for a wireless thermostat and 'receiver' that will work with my alpha 240e combi boiler which will replace the in built mechanical timer.
Can anybody recommend a thermostat that will work with this boiler?
I have read that some arent compatible with combi boilers and that some have diffrent switching voltages etc.

I have seen ones with receivers that are the same shape as the mechanical timer that is in it currently, this is what i thought you had to buy. How would one wire in the siemens type one, as I assume you'd have loose wires going onto the hole where the old mechanical timer was?

Leave the old mechanical timer in place and on constant.
Then connect reciever to terminals that are linked or have an out and in to existing room stat
