Ariston Microgenus problem

I have a dripping auto air vent on my Microgenus HE 32 MFFI.I have a new AAV but the clip which retains it in the pump housing doesn't have enough room in front of it to be fully removed,it fouls on the pump itself.Is there some advice you can give me or do I have to buy a new pump which has the AAV already in it.Seems a poor design to me.

Cheers Tony that could be an option,good idea.If I unbolt the 4 allen bolts holding it together will the gasket be ok to reuse or should I get another first (new to this combi lark).Thanks again for you reply.

They almost always reseal again.
