Hi
The boiler has been working well for a while but have 2 problems now.

1. no hot water , heating is working fine have tried adjusting internal thermostat but to no avail . Hot watertap runs slowly just lukewarm now could it be heat exchanger scaled up ?

2. Very slight fuel leak from pump , have tried tighten screws but still slight leak. Can it be replaced easily or new seals fitted or just leave it, it does smell a bit.

thanks

My opinion this is beyond uneconomical reapair, get new a combi boiler, have a look on Vokera combi range really good boilers and price is cheap

sounds like the dhw plate exchanger has scaled up or the blending valve.

normally it is the plate scaled.

depending on how capable you are. you could isolate/draindown system and renove the dhw plate. and descale. But often this isn't that effective as you need to be able to pump through to clear it all.

Or you could fit a new one. about £150 for the part

Good boilers vortex could be heat exchanger blocked get a water treatment unit fitted and a mag filter on the return oil leak prob on the inlet to pump 15mm spanner clean out the heat exchanger well flush the boiler and system it will have sludge in it should be ok then
