Can anyone please help? After bleeding a radiator yesterday which resulted in some air and some black water coming out, we now have no hot water or heating! The control panel in the airing cupboard is all on as usual and have checked the pilot light this is on, any advice would be much appreciated.

many thanks for your reply, is this something a professional has to do? Or can it be done by myself a non-professional?

Locate your pressure vessel, which will usually be near the boiler or inside the boiler. What boiler do you have?

There will be a flexible metal braided filling hose and you will need to open the valve at the end of the hose to allow water back into the system and back upto about 1 bar pressure.

That won't be on a sealed system. Why is it that people refuse to describe their system at the start, instead of halfway into a thread. It would save a lot of wasted time. Its like going to the doctors and saying "I feel unwell" and saying no more, and expecting the doctor to work out the rest.
I feel better now
