Wax-treated timber?

I've been looking through my local timber merchant's website, and they offer Wax-treated (rather than Tanalised) timber.

I'm looking for 6x2 timber for construction of a deck. I was aware of the pressure treated/tanalised stuff, but never wax-treated. Which is the better option? I'm guessing that wax treated may be more expensive?
