Hotpoint Tumble Dryer CTD00 no heat, drum starts and stops

Hope Rocks or someone can help.

Have a Hotpoint t/d CTD00 (yes I now know it was not a good buy) and it has stopped working. Water container usually emptied after each use but think it was missed and filled up.

I changed the capacitor, checked the thermo stops and both in closed position (ie working), checked and cleared out the water pump. All fluff was already cleared, condenser clear and have checked the pipes at back fom the water pump.

The t/d will start - drum turns, pump running but there is no heat and then after a few minutes running the drum will stop - pump still runs.

If you turn it off and on the drum sometimes will restart but only for a few seconds.

Grateful for any advice or other actions to try.
